"Today, on the third day of Simbang Gabi, the spotlight turns to the silent hero of Christmas, St. Joseph. Our words are Turmoil, Trust, and Transformation.

First, Turmoil. We often romanticize the Nativity, but today’s Gospel shows us Joseph in deep distress. He finds out Mary is pregnant, and he knows it isn't his child. He is a righteous man, torn between the law and love, planning to divorce her quietly to save her life. Many of us come to this Mass with turmoil in our hearts—worries about money, relationships, or the future. St. Joseph understands that anxiety.

Second, Trust. In the middle of his sleep, an angel whispers: 'Joseph, do not be afraid.' It takes immense courage to trust a dream over reality. To trust that this impossible situation is actually a work of the Holy Spirit. Joseph didn’t ask for explanations; he just listened. Trust isn't knowing how God will fix it; it’s knowing that God is with us. 'Emmanuel'—God with us—is the name he is told to give the child.

Third, Transformation. 'When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him.' His turmoil was transformed into action. He took Mary into his home. He became the father Jesus needed. When we trust God in our darkest moments, our problems are transformed into our vocation. Your greatest challenge today might actually be the place where Jesus wants to be born. Like St. Joseph, let us wake up from our fear and take Jesus and Mary into our homes."
