Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Today's readings and the life of Saint Cajetan call us to a deeper look at our own hearts and actions. The Israelites in the desert, like many of us, were quick to complain and doubt God's plan when faced with hardship. They had seen God's wonders, yet they hardened their hearts. How often do we, too, find ourselves murmuring about our daily struggles—be it in our jobs, our families, or our personal lives—and forget the countless blessings God has given us?

The Gospel gives us a different kind of challenge, one of both great triumph and humbling failure. Peter's confession of faith—"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God"—was a moment of divine clarity. It was an act of profound courage to declare his belief in a world that did not understand. Yet, moments later, his human fears and worldly logic led him to rebuke Jesus for speaking of his coming Passion. In his humanity, Peter was not able to grasp the divine plan. This is a reminder for us that faith isn't a one-time event; it is a constant struggle against our human desires and a continual call to trust in God's will, not our own.

This is where the life of Saint Cajetan offers us a powerful example. He was born into nobility but chose a life of poverty and service to God and others. He had the commitment to reform a corrupt church and the charity to establish a bank to help the poor, protecting them from usury. He trusted in God's Providence so completely that his priests were forbidden from begging, relying instead on God to provide for their needs. Saint Cajetan's life teaches us that true faith is not just a belief system but a call to active, courageous, and committed charity.

Whether you are a professional feeling the pressure of your work, a parent struggling to make ends meet, or a student navigating the complexities of life, let us remember these three C's. Have the courage to stand firm in your faith, even when the world tells you otherwise. Show commitment in your service to God and your neighbor, even when it's difficult. And above all, let your life be a testament to charity, trusting that God's Providence will provide all that is truly needed. May we, like Saint Cajetan, become living rocks upon which God's kingdom can be built. Amen
