My dear brothers, today's readings gently remind us of life's struggles and God's boundless love. In the First Reading, we hear of weariness and longing, much like we might feel when facing illness or the challenges of aging. It's natural to sometimes feel burdened or to long for relief and strength.
But then, turn your hearts to the Gospel. Jesus, seeing the hungry crowds, felt profound compassion. He didn't turn them away; instead, with just a few loaves and fish, He miraculously fed thousands. This reminds us that our God sees your every need, your every pain, your every quiet prayer. He is deeply comforting, always there to sustain us, even when we feel weakest. Just as He provided for the multitudes, He provides for us in your journey.
In moments of solitude or discomfort, let us remember that God's love is truly consoling. He is with us, holding us close. May we find peace and strength in His boundless care today and always. Amen.
