Mga kapatid, in our readings today, we are reminded of three important virtues: Guidance, Greatness, and Gentleness. First, we are assured of God's guidance. Like the Israelites being led by Joshua, we too are not alone in our journey. In our personal and national struggles, we are reminded that God is with us and will never abandon us. As Filipinos, let us not forget to seek His guidance in every decision we make, trusting that He will lead us to the right path. Second, Jesus redefines greatness. For many, greatness is measured by wealth, power, or fame. But the Lord tells us that to be truly great in the Kingdom of Heaven, we must become like little children—humble, innocent, and dependent on God. This calls us to a life of simplicity and humility, prioritizing our spiritual growth over worldly success. Finally, let us cultivate gentleness. The Gospel reminds us not to despise the "little ones," the vulnerable and marginalized in our society. As a people, we have a unique gentleness and compassion for others. Let us embrace this, standing up for the poor, the oppressed, and the voiceless, showing them the love and gentleness of Christ.
